Antisnoring TSD

The aveoTSD (TONGUE STABILIZING DEVICE ) anti-snoring aid has been developed for the alternative treatment of SNORING and OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNOEA (OSA).

The aveoTSD is made from a soft medical silicone for comfort and works by holding the tongue forward by suction preventing it from falling back against the back of the throat , potentially keeping the airway open during sleep .

The aveoTSD is a non-adjustable universal device that is cost effective and simple to use.

At this stage randomised  cross over studies have not been published only subjective patient impressions.

The safety and effect of long term usage of suction on the tongue for 7-8 hrs a night have not been established.

Can be useful as a trial device to assess patient response to the effect of tongue clearance of the throat and for patients with limited teeth making them not suitable for the MDSA.

Subjective reports state only around 20% of patients can tolerate wearing the device due to effect on the tongue and  gag reflex.

As this is a new concept only time will establish its validity in treatment and safety.

Approved by the F.D.A in the U.S.A as a medical device .
